Golf balls

Even though an inexperienced golfer might not notice a large difference between types of golf balls, those who have golfed for a while almost always can tell a difference between the ways that different balls move and spin.

A person who is hoping to upgrade to use nicer golf balls should consider some of the following:

• Multi-layered golf balls work – Professional golfers use multi-layer golf balls. These balls are more expensive than two-layer balls, but they are also softer. Multi-layered balls are made up of a soft core that surrounds a harder core. These balls are able to bounce off the clubs a little better than less expensive balls.

• Consider the coverings – Those people who use golf balls that are covered in Surlyn likely already know that these balls are difficult to scuff because they are very hard. On the other hand, Urethane golf balls are much easier to scuff, but these balls are softer.

To spin or not to spin – Some people want golf balls that have a lot of spin on them. The balls made to spin allow the golfer to have more control. On the other hand, there are some golf balls that are not designed to spin as much, but instead offer the golfer longer drives.

When trying out new golf balls, it is best to only buy a few at a time and pay special attention to how each one works. Once a golfer is able to pinpoint which golf balls best accommodate his game, he then should buy more of the balls he feels are best for him to use.
