Golf clubs
Because golf clubs can be expensive, it is important to
store them properly. By adhering to some of the following tips, a golfer
can help keep his golf clubs in good shape in between rounds.
• Control the temperature – One of the
best ways to keep the golf clubs in good shape is to control the temperature
of the room where the clubs are being held. Room temperature is fine
for golf clubs, but rooms that are extremely cool or extremely hot may
not be a good idea. Therefore, it probably is best to avoid keeping
the golf clubs in the attic or in the garage.
• Use club covers – Club covers can protect
the heads of the clubs being used. Clubs covers can help keep the clubs
from collecting and accumulating dust. These club covers are also effective
at ensuring that the golf clubs are not scratched. Most club covers
are fairly inexpensive, but to cover each club could cost a little bit.
• Store them upright – By making sure
that the golf clubs and the golf bag are in an upright position, a golfer
greatly reduces the possibility that something could seep into the bag
the way it could if the bag were to lay horizontally on the floor.
• Clean and dry – After each round, the
golf clubs should be cleaned. The cleaning process does not typically
require soap or detergent. Usually fresh water is enough. Be sure to
dry the golf clubs to ensure that they do not become rusted.
